About PocketTip
Reimagining tipping for a cashless Australia — simple, fast, and built for service workers.
The Beginning of PocketTip
Built from real shifts, designed for real work.
The idea for PocketTip started with a simple pattern we kept seeing: customers wanted to tip, but they didn’t carry cash. Great service was being appreciated in the moment — but not rewarded.
In cafés, bars, salons, deliveries, and events, the same thing kept happening. People would say “I would tip, but I don’t have cash,” and the opportunity would disappear. Existing options were often awkward, slow, venue-controlled, or too complicated to use on the spot.
Founded in 2024, PocketTip was built to fix that with a clean QR code tip page anyone can use in seconds. Our goal is simple: help workers capture more of the tips they’re already earning — without friction, awkwardness, or delays.
If someone wants to say thanks, it should be easy — and the worker should get paid fast.
